Challenging Closings & Big Listings On the Way (Plus: all the sports seasons in one)

I had a great dinner with one of my clients the other night. We went to Chart House in Golden. The food was a little pricey but delicious and the company was rock solid. Congrats Roger and Yvette, on your epic new home!

My NMH alumni group met for brunch at Sherpa House (also in Golden) over the weekend. The food was great and not too expensive. We had lots of interesting and entertaining conversations (per the norm); it’s always a good time with those guys.

Then, I headed to Conifer High School to meet a friend for the Conifer Home Show. A guy was making 3D-printed houses. It was nuts. The future, man. These are concrete houses, super strong and very cost-effective. These houses may become the norm. You heard it here first. Especially if insurance costs keep going up. Think fireproof and hurricane proof homes.

Bridger and Sterling both had baseball stuff all weekend, too. ‘Tis the season. But there are no games this coming weekend, so there’s a possible ski run in the future—likely the last of the year. That’s always bittersweet.

Side note and real question: How can it be snow ski season and baseball season? Baffling.

I had my one-on-one with my life coach, which went great. I wouldn’t say I’m nailing life, but I’m gently turning the screw, and that’s good enough for now.

My Colorado Real Estate Activity

This week, we had a great inspection of a really old house, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. So that’s a positive.

I also have a substantial listing coming up that I’ve been preparing for. I’m bringing a couple of other agents on with me because it’s a big-deal listing, and marketing has to be on point. Diligence is key for these large listings (the reason for the trifecta of agents).

My neighbor may be selling, so I checked out her property, and it’s a stunner!

Other than that, I’m just surviving this week with three properties under contract, each with its own set of problems. But hey, you gotta take ‘em as they come. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we all survive the processes unscathed.
