Well, I did it. I’m officially shaven of head. It’s a big deal. You’re wondering why I’d eat-pray-love myself in this way. Here we go: I don’t have a concrete answer because there aren’t any words. It was a feeling, and I’m glad I did it. Yes, I was terrified. But it’s liberating. I feel weird walking by a mirror, but my perception of the world is the same, although some may perceive me differently now. It is what it is and I live for myself not others. I think that might be the biggest lesson for me. A lot of my identity has been wrapped up in my hair since I was a kid and so I’ve felt, subconsciously, like I’ve had to live up to this long haired feminine ideal in some way.
Oddly, I’ve never been comfortable resting with femininity, but Tag told me he’s noticed my femininity more sans hair. Funny how that works.
Anyway, my mom, sister, and best friend were Zooming with me as The Big Cut occurred, and all my boys surrounded me. The stylist sectioned it all out and then cut it off in pieces. It was not looking good at the start, and I was freaking out. The end wasn’t so bad, though.
I’m nervous about the growing out portion of this experience. There will be some awkward stages that I’m not looking forward to.
Sterling was the most apprehensive about it as the day loomed near, but after he saw it fully done he hugged me with a huge smile on his face and said I’m still beautiful, and OMG, my heart.
Bridger’s new baseball schedule is from 7-9 at night. It’s dark out, man. And we just got this snow dump. That’s not making the darkness better. Tag and I tried to make the most of it with a fun little snowshoeing date that was really pretty.
So, after all the coaching and classes, I’ve decided to offer my own coaching sessions. I’ll work with one client at a time and provide 10-12 sessions lasting for a month. The process will be focused on targeted goals, not therapy, but just helping clients define what’s holding them back so they can push through it, essentially maximizing their potential.
Next trip: Scotland! I’m taking my mom to her birthplace. She’s not been back, and it’s on her bucket list. My sisters may join us, but they’re not committed yet. I can’t wait. It’ll be an excellent adventure for us.
It’s pie time, y’all!! I’ll set it all up and get you the details here. The plan is to provide a link to order on my blog, and then, because I LOVE driving my car, I’ll deliver them all! Get ready for some yum and a visit from yours truly.
Flavors: cherry, pumpkin, apple, and peach. You may not get the pie flavor you ordered because there’s a limit, but I’ll do my best to bring you the one you want. That said, I’ve tried them all, and they are delicious. You won’t be disappointed.
Orders will start now and go to the 21st. So, get ‘em while they’re hot. And, don’t forget, they’re free!
I’m excited to connect with all you pie-orderers!
Oh, and be safe out there! I just slid my brand new truck into a ditch and it’s stuck real good!
My Colorado Real Estate Activity
I have a couple of clients under contract, and I’m currently working on a past client’s kid’s house. I have two listings that are going well. Adam’s been very helpful with them. He just had his first closing last week! Congrats, bro!
