Part 1: Personal Reflections – Baseball, Woo-Woo, and Deep Conversations

This past week was a flurry, and honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how to fit sleep into my schedule. The biggest personal moment? Bridger’s baseball tryouts.

Now, let me paint you a picture: Bridger, sitting in the car, panic levels at an all-time high, announcing he no longer wants to play baseball (after months of practice and preparation). Classic pre-teen logic, right? I told him he didn’t have to keep playing, but he did have to at least show up for the tryout. He reluctantly agreed, and Tag, Lisa (a friend whose son was also trying out), and I all camped out in the Conifer High School lobby while the eighth graders had their moment.

And guess what? He made the team! The look on his face when we told him the next morning was pure joy. Moral of the story: sometimes, we just need to push through the fear and do the thing. Also, parental instincts are occasionally correct (who knew?).

In other personal updates, I attended a “woo-woo” class hosted by a medium. I find that stuff fascinating—part entertainment, part deep contemplation on the mysteries of life. While I don’t take every word or even a fraction of the words as gospel, I’ve had enough eerily accurate readings to keep an open mind. Plus, as a lifelong learner, I’ll take any excuse to be curious about something new.

Tag and I also planned to go dancing last Friday but ended up opting for dinner instead. And honestly? Best decision ever. The food was good, but the conversation was even better. With him doing the same coaching program I did with Kute Blackson, we’re finally having the kinds of discussions that make us grow together. It’s nice to share something beyond just parenting and logistics.

Adam, the kids, and I had a full-on, classic family fun day. We went to see the new Captain America movie (because watching movies in a recliner is basically peak luxury and I will accept no arguments), then played a round of putt-putt where I started off strong, sinking two hole-in-ones like I was some kind of putt-putt prodigy, but then proceeded to slowly lose my lead until, in a cruel twist of fate, Adam beat me by one single point. ONE. POINT. I may never recover. To top it all off, we stumbled upon what might be the best hidden gem of a pizza place—Marino Pizzeria, tucked away in the middle of a residential area in Littleton. I don’t know what kind of magic they put in that sauce, but I’m still thinking about it. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Part 2: Real Estate – Market Madness and a Personal Assistant Lifesaver

In the real estate world, things are absolutely popping. The spring market is officially in full swing, and I’ve been running around like a caffeinated squirrel trying to keep up.

Our Florida house is still on the market, and we’re considering a price adjustment. I had my first coaching call with a new real estate coach—if billionaires have coaches, why shouldn’t I? I’ve worked with coaches before, but this one feels like a great fit. She built and sold a successful team and is now coaching full-time, which is exactly the kind of trajectory I’d love to be on.

On the business front, I put my Turkey Lane listing under contract, got another buyer under contract, submitted two more offers tonight, and picked up a couple of new buyers. I also just went live with the cutest townhome in Longmont that has not one, not two, but three ensuite bedrooms. Three! It’s like a tiny luxury hotel disguised as a home. Also, at one of my showings, I encountered the most enormous cat I’ve ever seen. It was so fat it got stuck trying to go under the bed. It did eventually make it under, but not without some serious determination and a lot of wiggling. I’ve seen a lot of things in this business, but that was a first! I also have two listing appointments this week.

The best part of this week? My friend Molly has started helping me with database management and client follow-ups. She’s got the best energy, is great with people, and has a fantastic sense of humor (which balances out my more… let’s call it *dry* sense of humor). With her taking on admin tasks, I can focus on what I love most—negotiating, working directly with clients, and helping them win in this crazy market.

And finally, because life isn’t busy enough, today I’m heading to a special mastermind event for the top 100 Keller Williams agents in Colorado. It’s always humbling (and a little mind-blowing) to be in a room with such high achievers, but I’m looking forward to learning from the best.

So, if you’re thinking about buying or selling, now is the time! Let’s chat before I get lost in yet another flurry of transactions, coaching calls, and possibly another random class about the mysteries of the universe.

Until next time, my friends!
