Dancing, Skiing, and Scottish Adventures

Good news: We’re back to weekly blog updates! Some parts of the newsletter will be updated bi-weekly or monthly, but you can count on fresh personal and real estate updates every week. Unfortunately, our new email provider thinks we belong in spam folders, but we’re working on our comeback tour to that glorious 30%+ open rate.

Dancing My Way Through Denver

Tag and I went dancing on Friday at this amazing dance hall in Denver called the Denver Turnverien. For a mere $15 yearly subscription, you get free dance lessons. A steal, really. This week’s adventure? The Lindy Hop! Named after Lindbergh’s flight over the Atlantic—why? No idea, but I can confirm that flying through the air while attempting swing dance moves is very much part of the experience. Afterward, we refueled at a Mexican restaurant—one that holds special significance for me. It was my very first stop when I drove cross-country from South Carolina to Colorado in 2006. Many renovations (and owners) later, it’s still serving tacos, so I’d call that a win.

Ladies Nail Night—A Total Blast!

On Monday, I hosted a ladies' nail night at Milano Nails in Lakewood, and it was an absolute blast. So glad I did it and will definitely be doing it again. There’s just something about painting nails, chatting, and laughing with great company that makes for a perfect evening.

Weekend Shenanigans

Saturday, I hosted an open house at my listing on 68 Turkey Lane, and then on Sunday, we hit the slopes at Breckenridge. The sun was out, the snow was soft, and we even indulged in a hot tub soak before heading home. 10/10 weekend.

A Flight Over the Atlantic—Just Like Lindbergh, but with In-Flight Snacks

Speaking of the Atlantic, today I’m flying over it with my mom to Scotland! She was born on the Isle of Bute during WWII while my grandfather was stationed there, so this is a special trip. We have no itinerary, just vibes—our favorite way to travel. We once drove around the entire island of Puerto Rico on a whim and did something similar in British Columbia before the Olympics. Scotland, we’re coming for you! If you have recommendations (especially for food—let’s be honest), send them my way.

Nut Milk Maker—The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

I recently got a nut milk maker from Nama, and let me tell you, this thing is life-changing. Tag can’t have dairy, so we go through a lot of non-dairy milk, and now I get to make it fresh at home. I agonized over making the right choice and man-o-man, I sure did. This thing is a beast. And so fun to use! I even bought one as a gift for a client who’s also a big fan, but I won’t be able to give it to her until I get back—so, shh, it’s our secret.

Real Estate:

Big Land, Smooth Closings & Off-Market FindsOn the real estate front, things are busy (as always). My listing on Swiss is active again, and we’ve had some promising showings—fingers crossed an offer is coming soon.

A Special Closing

Today, my brother attended a closing for me—teamwork makes the dream work! This one was extra special because the buyer was referred to me by a past client, and the entire process was as smooth as butter. Love when that happens.

79 Acres—That’s a Lot of Grass

We also got a buyer under contract on 79 acres in Elbert County. Can you even imagine owning that much land? I’d probably lose my car in my own driveway.

Off-Market Properties & Second Showings

I did a walkthrough on an off-market home in Conifer this week and stumbled upon *multiple* off-market properties. If you’re hunting for a home under $800K in Conifer, Bailey, or Pine, hit me up—I might just have the perfect hidden gem for you. Meanwhile, my listing on 68 Turkey Lane has a second showing coming up—send all your good vibes!

Final Thoughts: TV Stardom and Real Estate Love

I’ve been toying with the idea of doing some TV ads. An opportunity popped up, and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Would you want to see my face on TV talking about houses? Let me know if you think it’s a genius move or a potential blooper reel in the making.

Until next week, stay safe out there, and don’t forget to think of me if you hear of anyone needing help with anything real estate-related!
