I just bought a new truck! I’m thrilled. It self-drives—scary but amazing! It’s a Ford F-150 Lightning. And it’s lightning fast! It’s just the most incredible technology. I’ve been so consumed with getting a new car since Adam has been here, so we’re all happy to have this checked off the list.
Adam passed his real estate exam this week (GOOOOO ADAM- first try, FYI!!), so I gave him my Subaru and got this new all-electric piece of machinery. There were loads of rebates, 0% APR for 60 months, and filling up is much cheaper—so many positives. I got the extended range, too, so I get 300 miles of battery. Nice!
Big shout out to Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hill. Thanks so much, Avery, Bert, and Eric, for all your help!
The kids are in school for the first full week this week, mostly, Sterling has Friday off which makes no sense. And Bridger will be playing on the high school baseball team. It’s fantastic and much less expensive, and he’s so happy. He hasn’t made the team, but he plays and practices with them, so he’ll be prepared for spring tryouts. The season ends in May when school ends, so Tag and I are pumped.
Correction from our post last week: Insurance companies now have to give you coverage for roof damage even if you’re past the one-year mark in Colorado. So, that’s great news, because hail.
My Colorado Real Estate Activity
We finally got one of my longer listings under contract this week. Everyone is super excited. I met the buyers for my Sunset listing (the HUD house); they’re the best. They’ve made all the necessary adjustments to the house to qualify for lenders—themselves—as in, they’re over there doing the work every weekend (along with the needed contractors). It’s amazing.
I have some buyers working on getting a house in Arvada, and we should learn more about that later this week.
Also, there have been some big changes when it comes to Buyer Agent compensation so if you’d like the rundown with that then please give me a call. It doesn’t have to be super scary!
