Back From India and I’m Shaving My Head

Back From India and I’m Shaving My Head

I’m home from glorious India. It was exhausting but incredible. What a time. Flying business class was a highlight, can’t lie. Have you done this? Bucket-list it! No swollen cankles over here.

So, here’s what I’m doing: I’m shaving my head. Here’s why I’m doing it: I don’t want to, necessarily, but in India, when a woman cuts off her hair, it’s an enormous sacrifice. My hair has always been a big part of my identity, and I don’t want to have such a strong attachment, dare I say, burden. I want a new beginning—one that focuses less on the external and more on the internal and to really cement all the work I have been doing on myself over the past year. So, yeah. It’s happening. And I wanted to share it with you all so you’re not shocked when you see me. And yes, you’re more than welcome to touch my head when you see me if you feel so inclined!

I plan on donating my cut locks to Locks of Love—super cool cause.

Anyway, India is a crazy place. There was an odd alignment between surging energy and lovely, wise people and this kind of highly polluted and populated space that could essentially swallow you whole. I never felt unsafe; it was just very different from any place I’ve ever been. The best analogy I have ever heard for India was that it’s like a woman that lets it all hang out. She doesn’t try to hide anything from anyone and she is all the more beautiful for it. That is India!

Tag may go to Bali and go through the same coaching process I did, so we’ll see if that pans out, but I’m totally for it. It’s been such a ride with so many benefits. I’m beyond grateful that I got to experience it.

Oh! And I start working with my dietitian tomorrow. Hope that goes well! I mean, just after trick-or-treat night. Oy. I’ll let you know… My next project is my physical health now that my mental health is on track.

My Colorado Real Estate Activity

I got home late a couple of nights ago and jumped straight into the work fire. I had a listing that went active yesterday and two today. Oh, and I made an offer on a house yesterday, too. I wasn’t really anticipating recovering this quickly. Was it the business class seat? Maybe.

Adam was a huge help while I was away. He negotiated a lower price on our behalf after a not so great inspection, which was pretty stellar for our buyer.
