The Personal Side – Jet Lag, Friendship, and Transformation

Since my last blog post, my mom and I wrapped up our Scottish adventure with a tour of Edinburgh Castle and a little shopping (because what’s a trip without justifying a few unnecessary purchases?). Overall, the trip was an incredible experience, not just because I got to see some of the world’s most famous castles, but because I got to see where my mom took her first breath. And let me tell you, watching her finally check that lifelong itch off her bucket list was worth every drizzle-soaked moment of Scotland’s famously dreary weather.

From Scotland, we flew to Iceland together, but after that, we parted ways—she went one way, and I went on a multi-leg, delay-ridden journey to Atlanta. If you ever want to test your patience, try navigating multiple flight delays while running purely on airport snacks and wishful thinking. Once I finally arrived, I made my way to Lake Hartwell to see two of my best friends, who, by some stroke of serendipity, both ended up living in the same small town. We spent hours catching up, laughing, and rediscovering that feeling of lightness you only get when you’re with people who just get you.

Friendships like these remind me that people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. These ladies? They’re my lifetimes. I feel so grateful that, despite life’s many changes, cross country moves, and gaps in contact, we’re still in it together.

After that soul-replenishing visit, I was off to Las Vegas for the Keller Williams Family Reunion—a conference I look forward to every year. And, in keeping with this trip’s theme of “air travel chaos,” my flight was delayed repeatedly. Rather than play the waiting game, I rebooked for the morning and opted for some actual sleep at the Minute Suites (a decision I highly recommend unless you love arriving at your destination looking and feeling like a crypt keeper).

One of the things I love most about this conference is the energy—it’s contagious. The speakers are inspiring, the learning is endless, and I always leave feeling ready to help my clients in bigger and better ways. But, as exciting as this trip has been, I’ve really been missing the kids, Tag, and Adam (but I get to see him sooner because he met me at the KW convention), so I’m definitely looking forward to heading home.

Speaking of Tag—he’s starting his Coaching Apprentice Program this week! I couldn’t be more excited for him. I did this same program last year with Kute Blackson, and it was nothing short of transformational. One of the biggest takeaways from that experience was learning to witness my own patterns instead of just reacting to life’s chaos. We all have triggers, we all have patterns—we can either keep repeating them or actually do the work to heal and level up. And let’s be real, who doesn’t want to level up?

The Real Estate Rundown – Market Madness & Micro Markets

Alright, let’s talk real estate! While I was away, a past client reached out because he’s ready to sell his rental—always exciting news! On top of that, we now have an official backup offer on my Swiss listing, and there’s been some solid interest in my Turkey Lane listing as well.

The market in Conifer and Pine has definitely heated up, judging by the uptick in showings and open house traffic. That being said, we are still in a micro-market, meaning every little detail matters—location, condition, price, curb appeal, even how photogenic your listing looks in online searches (pro tip: decluttering is your best friend).

Buyers right now are not in the mood for projects. They want turnkey properties, and they want them yesterday. If your home is in great shape and priced right, it’ll move fast. If it’s a fixer-upper or has “potential” (a word we all know is code for *this is going to take some serious elbow grease*), it may sit longer. Interest rates aren’t expected to budge much this year, so my advice? Get cozy with the new normal and find ways to make it work in your favor.

Until next time, my friends! You know where to find me if you need anything—I’m always happy to help!
