Helloooo, friends! I’m trying a new blog post format starting next week! I’m excited, but change is always challenging, so I’m also apprehensive. I hope you guys like it and that it becomes normal to me quickly!

I’ll still have my usual personal and work happenings, but I am adding a blog article and some other fun things. The newsletter will have my personal and work stuff and then my blog article will have useful actionable real estate advice. Delivery is still up in the air. I may not be posting the whole newsletter/blog on socials anymore but who knows. It will still be emailed for sure so if you’re on my email list, then fear not.

The big change is that it’ll be coming out every two weeks rather than weekly, but it’ll be packed with useful information for you! So, keep your eyes open for the changes, and let me know your thoughts! It’s a work in progress, so I’m open to suggestions.

Okay, now down to business: PIE TIME. I’ve started calling people, and we’re scheduling the drop-offs. I’ll be delivering them between the 15th and the 20th of November. If you don’t get your pie in that timeframe, I can get it to you between Thanksgiving and Christmas if needed. I might drop them off with no call, leaving them at your address or leaving a door hanger asking you to contact me to schedule a drop-off when you’re home.

I’m also asking anyone getting pies to donate goods to the Rocky Mountain Resource Center. I’ll make the exchange with you when I bring your pies. Or you can leave the following items at your door. Be sure to text/call me (303-328-8800) so I can be sure to swing by. And if you want to be sure to get a pie this year then please text me. I’m hand delivering this year so that I can see all your beautiful faces in person but I only have so many hours in the day.

Here’s the list of things needed:

  • Soup, chili, stew (high protein)

  • Canned tuna and chicken

  • Peanut butter and jelly

  • Rice and pasta

  • Low-sugar cereals

  • Low-sugar, low-salt canned fruit and veggies

  • Baby formula and baby food

  • Shampoo and conditioner

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Deodorant

  • Soap

  • Toilet paper

  • Adult diapers

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Laundry soap

  • Paper towels

Let’s do it!

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have good recipes? I made homemade marshmallows. I can’t wait for Sterling to try them. He’s been wanting them, so I thought I’d surprise him. They aren’t bad!

Speaking of Sterling, he got Secret Student three times in the past eight weeks. It’s such an achievement. The teacher chooses 2 kids to pay close attention to each day, and if those kiddos are on task all day then she announces it to the class and they get to sit in the bouncy chair the next day. I’m proud of my buddy.

And guess what we got? A kitten! Kamper and the little guy are having a rough time, but it is improving. Kamper is confused, and the kitty is hissing like crazy. But we let him explore Kamper as he was being controlled, which went better on the cat side of things. Anyway, he’s five months old. We got him from the Denver Animal Rescue. He looks a bit like a knock-off Bengal. We adore him.

Tag is off to Bali after the holidays! He’s doing the same coaching I did with Kute–he may not go as far with it—but I’m very excited for him because I got so much out of it. And in case you’re wondering, yes, my hair is still gone, but I’m adapting well and getting used to it. That’s a good thing because it’s intense. But I’m really happy I did it and proud of it, too. (I had one hater, and it upset me for a minute, but I’ve moved on because that’s what you gotta do.)

Shout out to my sister Lauren, who is getting married!! Yippee! We’ll celebrate them in Boston soon, and we can’t wait!

My Colorado Real Estate Activity

I have a bunch of listings, one of which I met at an Open House; they just called me yesterday saying they found a house they love and wanted to make an offer immediately (yesterday). So, I got them in touch with a lender and got the offer submitted.

The house has only been on the market for six days, and the owners are a bit wary of accepting a contingent offer, so it may be a second before we get a response. In the meantime, I’ve met with my clients to start the process of getting their house listed.

I do think we have a big chance of getting the house, though. This isn’t a great time to sell, guys. If you don’t have to sell right now, don’t. Holding off till the spring may do wonders for your pocketbook.

I recently watched a presentation by an economist named Elliot Eisenberg. He said to watch out for unemployment and what happens with immigration. Those two factors would send the economy into a tailspin. Anyway, he’s full of knowledge, so if you’re interested, text “bowtie” to 66866, and he’ll send you an economic email daily.

No one knows what will happen, but he seemed hopeful for the upper-level socioeconomic household. Those with salary jobs and real estate. Unfortunately, hourly employees and renters may have a harder go of things in the near future.

My advice: Do your best with what you have because we can’t control the economy. Be kind and make smart choices.

Upcoming Events

  • Life Bridge Food Pantry, Food Drive- It’s giving season, so please consider donating some non-perishables at King Soopers in Conifer.

  • Gratitude Workshop- Gratitude sounds easy, but it can actually take some practice to really dig in deep with it. This free workshop will help you understand the importance of gratitude and how to access it.

  • EASY HONEY-  Witty, nostalgic, catchy; no one does live music like Easy Honey, so don’t miss ‘em.

  • Red Rocks stair climbing workouts- Hear me out: It’s exercise, but it’s at Red Rocks, so it’s super pretty, and you can eat in downtown Morrison after, so this is a no-brainer.

  • Beer Barn Comedy Show- If you ask me, we can all use a good laugh right about not. Well, here’s your chance!
