Always Moving in Italy

In Madeira—FINALLY. Our flight from Lisbon was canceled Sunday because there was no airplane. I'm not sure what happened there, but after standing in an incredibly long line, we figured it all out; we had to move airports, so it was a bit stressful, but we got to stay in Lisbon for an extra two days, and that was great because that place rocks hard.

Now in Madeira, it’s the most beautiful place we’ve ever been. It’s an Island off of Africa but part of Portugal and was formed originally by a volcano. It’s bliss, I swear. Even the weather is way better here.

The last three or four cities have been out of this world: less heat, fewer tourists, gardens, great food, architecture, and sites. Just can’t say enough about it, and my words won’t do anything justice anyway.

Have you guys ever ridden an E-bike? We did that. Sterling was not good, so he was moved to a mountain bike, but we took a private bike tour that was really interesting, and we learned a lot. And, side note, I need to invest in an E-bike.

I’d also take a canal boat. We stayed a night on one of those, and it was stellar. Such an extraordinary experience, and the boat was so pretty. We really enjoyed that. Also, we went on electric scooters for a bit; that was super fun. The boys loved it. We’ve pretty much taken every form of transportation possible since we arrived, including a Tuk Tuk tour around Lisbon that gave San Francisco vibes.

We also enjoyed some swimming in a truly unique spot, which was kind of like a concrete pier with diving boards, where we could jump into water that was at the perfect temperature.

Oh, and we were also serenaded for an uncomfortable amount of time at a delicious restaurant that served mouth-watering food.

My Colorado Real Estate Activity

Everything back home is going well. I have a showing on the Pine listing this Friday. Some changes are coming up within contracts, and buyer agent compensation will be removed from the MLS in August. I’m eager to see how it all unfolds.

I’m a bit worried about this fire that’s going on, though. I hope you’re all safe and out of harm’s way. Wildfires are no joke, so if they’ve asked you to evacuate, please do it!
