We had a Monday night party at a friend’s house, watching Barbie and eating pizza, and we all wore pink (well, TBH, I didn’t because I have no pink, but everyone else did). It was super fun. The movie was cute, and everyone had lots of laughs. I say Monday night parties become part of our culture because it made it a really good one.
It also happened to be my and Tag’s anniversary. He drew me a picture of us, and the likeness is pretty stellar. I mean, I guess he’s an artist. Who knew? I love it. Sterling was mad he wasn’t in it. That’s on-brand.
Breaking news: The scavenger hunt is mere days away (Sept. 30 and Oct. 1)!! Mark your calendars; you don’t want to miss it. You could win $1000! Check out the video and hit the link to learn all about it.
I stayed with a friend in Georgetown over the weekend to prepare for said hunt. We got a lot accomplished. I’m excited and hope you all come out to support the locals, get some goods, and maybe win.
Friday, I went to an all-day convention in Vail for work. It was about the market and the state of the economy and all that stuff. There was a business coach there speaking named Jordan Freed. He’s such a great speaker. Lots of good stuff. There was another speaker there named Dr. Jason Selk, author of Relentless Solution Focus, who was very informative, too. It was a successful event, followed by a successful evening.
Afterward, I went out with some old friends who I hadn’t seen in a while, and that was a good night. It was fun to reconnect. And then, book club was on Saturday, and we discussed a book that was my suggestion: The Magic of Surrender by Kute Blackson. Read It! Next month’s book is On Writing; A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King.
I’m kinda getting into this new hobby of learning about attachment styles. It’s about how to foster healthy attachments (relationships). It’s very fascinating. I recommend going down the rabbit hole if you’re trying to understand why you get involved in the relationships you do. I’ve also been reading about ADHD because a dear friend of mine has it and recommended the book ADHD 2.0 by Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. & John J. Ratey, M.D., which is also incredibly interesting. Needless to say, there’s been a bunch of self-diagnosing going on.
