Free Weekend, More Eggs, Toss in Some Closings, I’ll Take It

What’s that song? Oh, yeah. Freedom. Well, the family is gone this weekend and beginning part of next week and I’m taking some needed me-time. I’m hoping to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while. Gonna make some calls and connections. Maybe see some old clients, too. I’m looking forward to it. A lot.

Bridger has started taking taekwondo lessons and he’s loving it. This is a far cry from a couple of years ago when we tried it out. It was two classes and a uniform for $20. I had to drag him to the second class. And, yes, I made him go. He’s gonna finish what he starts. Also, I mean, $20.

He’s also starting baseball. I’m going to give him some tips. Should be fun. Or interesting at the very least.

Now, if we could just find something for Sterling to do besides being a master at watching the iPad.

Tag and I are trying to find a side-hustle. I’d make some suggestions. Not necessarily for money, just for something to do. Maybe egg selling? Speaking of, we officially have five egg-layers. So, Tag’s been eating a lot of eggs lately. I have high cholesterol, so I can’t eat too many. I know what you’re thinking. She’s obsessed with eggs, half her blog posts are centered around eggs. I hear you. It’s valid. That’s really all I have to say about that.

Great, exciting news: our condo is almost ready to rent. We’re super stoked and feeling very confident with our management company, Colorado Property Management, and Realty. Everyone seems to say really nice things about them.

You may be wondering where we’re currently standing on our move to Europe. Not sure. But I can tell you that no matter what I’m waiting for my love for Colorado real estate to run its course and there’s no clue how long that will be.

Remember my Franktown clients? Well, they’re closing next week on their own property. This is major because it’s been under contract since July. That said, yesterday, the lender for the buyers (Wells Fargo) put in a last-minute request for a nitrate test on the water. I’m not worried about the results, but super annoyed about the request. Why are they waiting until the last minute? All-of-a-sudden testing isn’t cool. And, this test isn’t a requirement for the VA loan to go through, it’s a Wells Fargo requirement. Completely arbitrary.

These clients were supposed to purchase a home in Simla, but it didn’t work out, so they found a great rental. They’re gonna live there for a year and decompress. It’s been a stressful journey. But one that will be over soon!

Something that I have learned from my cross Colorado journeys this summer is that rural areas in Colorado are getting super expensive. If you’re hoping to find a deal you might have to look outside Colorado to find it. Just saying.

Hope you all have a nice weekend, enjoy some gorgeous weather! See you here soon.
