Lots going on! We had a taco social at my CrossFit gym last weekend, and there was a cornhole tournament. Bridger and I teamed up, and we lost the first game, but they had a loser’s bracket, and we won! So, yes, masters of the losers. I’ll take it. Also, well done, Bridger, who literally carried our team. He’s really good at cornhole. And, the tacos were out of this world, FYI.
I love the community at our gym; super cool group, lots of fun activities. A good place to spend time. I’ve been going there for five years now, and I couldn’t be more committed to it and the people there.
And while we’re talking about Bridger and our gym, I gotta tell you, he contacted the gym the other day and got himself a little job! He’s a gym member but doesn’t go as much as I’d like, considering how much it costs, but he also doesn’t want to quit.
So, he took some initiative, made a call, took a meeting, and now will be helping with gym-sponsored activities. He won’t get paid, but he’ll get to be a gym member. Proud mom moment. I want my boys to have a great work ethic, and this is a great start.
Bridger’s baseball team annihilated their opponents over the weekend. The first game was 28-1. Bridger batted 100. *clapping* It was a super nice day overall with the whole family.
Monday was my birthday, and it was loads of fun! My dad used to work for Nile Rodgers, who was opening for Bastille and Duran Duran at Red Rocks. So good ol’ dad contacted Nile (they’re still good friends) and got me four tickets to the concert! Great seats, amazing company, tremendous music, danced like nobody’s watching. What. A. Night.
Yesterday I made two peach pies from scratch (they were a success!) and had my Book Babes over for a fun night and a little goodbye party for one of the Babes who’s moving away.
Then last night, I played with a new softball team in Golden, and I knew no one. I had no idea where to go or what to do. But you know what? It was a blast. Even though we were awful. Great time.
And last but certainly not least, my friend Paige had a baby, so I want to give her and her family a big CONGRATS. I’m so happy for them, and I know she’ll be the best mom. She’s one of those crafty types; you know the ones. Anyway, lots of love and luck, Paige!
My Colorado Real Estate Activity
I took clients out on Friday to look at a couple houses; we thought one would be IT. But it was not. We went to the other one, which was not high on the list; the road to get there was sketchy, but we went anyway, and it was GORG. All the deal-breakers ended up being non-deal-breakers.
Offer was put in; we’re under contract.
The takeaway: Go see the houses! Even if you think it’s not for you, you may be very, very pleasantly surprised.
Other than that, there are lots of things in the works that I’m looking forward to telling you about!
