I’ve been so busy getting organized- even with my new assistant. She’s already started, and I think it’ll be a terrific fit. I’ll start getting more time doing the more important things. I think she’ll be moving right up the ladder and become a vital member of the team I hope to create.
Right now, my life seems to be all kids and work, and I’m yearning for some more social interaction. (I did get a bit this week- happy birthday, Jan!).
Do you ever just feel 100% guilty for not working? I get like that a lot, and I need to find the balance, or burnout is just around the corner. I know that, but it’s still difficult.
I did have some fun with work this week filming a new video! I’ll post a link when it’s ready for public consumption! I truly enjoy doing these things! Who knew?!
Oh! Tag’s first week and a half of work are under his belt, and it’s been going well. His new office life takes a lot of getting used to; it’s a significant change. It’s longer workdays during the week (45 hours), but we have the weekends together, and that’s a huge win.
We’re getting ready to utilize those weekends by getting the camper in order! I just ordered some beds and cushions for it and got the wrong size mattresses. So, that’s fun. It’ll make the guest bedroom in our house more comfortable, though. Half-glass-fulling it.
Bridger had his baseball tournament this week, and they won both games! We were all very excited about that. Bridger even pitched and did a great job!
So, I had a team party last week in the most incredible house, it was massive and had some cooky things in it. Like, it had a secret room that was interesting. It kinda locked you in the room? Not my idea of a good time. But, hey, to each their own.
Are you guys getting ready for Thanksgiving? I can’t believe it’s just around the corner! My mom will be here, which is always fun. We’ll also have our new roommate! That’s right. Remember our close friends who moved to England? Well, they’re back. They didn’t take to it there, and the dad of the fam is staying with us until he finds a house around here, and they can move into it. Ironically, the rest of his family is staying in Connecticut in the same city I’m from! Good stuff! We’re happy to have our peeps back!
Speaking of my peeps, my dad may come out for Christmas, and it’d be great if my sister came, too, and I’m hoping he brings my brother with him. That’d be a party. I love the holidays. I’m getting really excited if you can’t tell.

Lots of cool (and some not cool) things going on:
- Got my first-time homebuyer under contract, and I’m thrilled for him! I have a good feeling it’ll all go really well! (That’s a cool one.)
- I have an open house in Morrison coming up. (Cool).
- I have some listings coming up. (Also, cool).
- One of my houses has hit a bumpy road. (Not so cool).
- I’m showing a house in Westcliffe this weekend. (Cool if I can find someone to watch my kids, not cool if they need to come with me. Is anyone available? The tag has a conference).
- My land contract is going fine. Waiting for the survey to come back but not expecting anything major. (Cool).
I hope you guys had a lovely week and got to enjoy some you-time. Don’t forget how important it is! Family and work are great (especially if you love them), but it can’t be all you do. Let’s work on this together! Tell me what you’re gonna do for yourself this week?
