We had a New Year’s Eve party planned, but had to cancel at the last minute. The weather and COVID, you know how it goes. It all worked out well because I was so tired when guests were supposed to arrive. And the food I made kept us eating and me not cooking for several days after. Good stuff.
Plus, a friend who was supposed to come woke up with COVID the next day. So, dodged that bullet.
However, I do want to have a party soon. I think we all deserve that.
The fam and I went ice fishing last weekend on a lovely clear lake. The weather held up, no wind, really sunny. Tag forgot the bag that had my and Sterling’s coats and ski pants, so we got fortunate. And, no, we didn’t catch anything.
Tag started CrossFit on Monday. So far, so good. He was told he had good form on his squats, but I’m not buying what that lady’s selling. His squats are horrific. At best.
I had my initial consultation on the therapeutic psychedelic therapy in Boulder. I’d take a couple of treatments over the course of a week. I’d need to have a driver, obviously. Or I can do a more intensive plan where you take two cannabis and two ketamine therapy sessions. It’s intriguing. The cost is intense, too: $5,000.
End of June to July 10, we will be in Sweden! It’ll be Tag’s first time there in the summer. I can’t wait to introduce him to that. Europe in the summer is bloody brilliant. We’re all so excited about that.
I also have a Vegas trip and Orlando trip coming up. Warm places. I like.
On Tuesday I finally used my ski pass and new equipment to enjoy a day on the slopes sans everyone else. It was glorious. I parked where I wanted, I took the chair-lifts that I wanted, I skied the runs I wanted, I left when I wanted, and I didn’t have to talk to anyone except the chatty plumber from Texas. Saying it was amazing is an understatement. I don’t know about you but I need some alone time once in a while to just breathe. And after so much going on with the holidays and family and kids and friends, I was ready for a reboot.
I’m taking part in ALC (Agent Leadership Committee) at my office. It’s a leadership program, and we spearhead different categories. Mine is education. I want to develop a mentor-mentee program that pairs top agents with new agents. I think it’d be super beneficial for all of us. I’m going to wrangle my assistant in to help me develop it as well as our onsite coach.
This week we had a team-building event with all of us involved in the ALC program, and I missed the email, so got the dreaded call asking where I was and if I was coming. That’s never the best. They had set up two escape rooms, and I made it to the second one, so it all worked out. But, darn it, I was that person who missed the email. Anyway, the escape room was fun. I love those things.
Big news: we’re getting a dumpster at the office for our clients to use. I think I have done dump runs for 90% of my clients since I started real estate so having an onsite dumpster will make things way easier and less expensive. So, this new venture will certainly pay off in the long run.

I found my client a great condo with loads of fun amenities in Castle Rock. The place is so nice. It’s a 2/2, brand-spankin’-new. The inspection went well, except the drain in the primary shower didn’t drain. Moral of the story: even if the place is brand-spankin’-new, an inspection is necessary. We have a rather long closing time, though- Feb. 7. But, I’m not expecting any issues.
That’s all I have for now! Hope you had a safe NYE and are eager to take on 2022! See you soon!
