The End of Christmas Has Come, Bring on 2022 (Please)

So, how was your Christmas? Can you even believe it’s over? I’m only barely recovered. On Christmas Eve we hosted dinner at our house and we made prime rib that was incredibly tasty. We made a ton of food but we had a few no-shows so the leftovers have been plentiful. We’re actually just finishing them all up. I’m not gonna lie, I’m cool with it.

And then on Christmas Day, we went to Tag’s grandma’s house. She’s so fun and she’s 94! It was just us and Tag’s parents, so it was an intimate little party.

Since just after Christmas, we’ve had a lovely house guest who is still with us. Our friends that went to the UK and came back have an eight-year-old son who has been with us while the rest of the family gets organized in their new house, moving stuff and driving from Connecticut to Colorado. It’s been really fun having him with us. The boys are loving it. The UK to US friends come back tomorrow and it’ll be so nice to be with them all!

Okay, what’s up with you guys and NYE? We’re having a little gathering provided no one gets COVID. What are your resolutions? I’m going to try to make 2022 full of good, healthy choices. I want to cut back on caffeine and sugar. I’m also going to start spending my time more deliberately. I want to focus more on my family. What are your resolutions? Do you stick to them?

All I know is that 2022 needs to be a good one. We all really deserve it.

I’m reading a book called The Power of When. It’s excellent and you should totally read it. It gives you loads of insight into how you can plan your day for success based on the type of person you are.

Okay, and the news you’ve all been waiting for: my new website launched! I’m so excited for you to see it. Check it out: victoriamerchant.com

Colorado Realtor Activity

This morning I closed on Maplewood in a record two-and-a-half weeks time! I mean, COME ON. That’s pretty awesome.

I had a kickass listing appointment for a super fancy condo in Denver and fingers crossed I get the job! I’m taking the seller out to look at some condos down south, too. It should be great fun. I love the fancy places, as you know.

Okay, guys, I know I’ve been saying it for over a year, but I’m still singing the same song; the Denver MLS inventory has reached a record low. Before today the lowest low was in March and now it’s worse than that. There are so many buyers and so few houses. If you’re interested in putting your house on the market, let’s do it!

You guys have an awesome New Year’s Eve! Be safe and smart and have so much fun. Don’t get COVID. Make good choices and resolutions! See you here in 2022, the year that ends the crappy years.
